We’re looking for a Head of Engineering to own the effectiveness, health, and growth of Eldorado’s engineering organization. This is a people-first leadership role focused on supporting Team Leads, strengthening team performance, and ensuring engineering stays aligned with business priorities as we scale.
You’ll work closely with leadership to build a motivated, well-structured, and high-performing organization where engineers can do their best work and grow.

👉 BREAKDOWN:

• Lead and coach Team Leads to improve their impact, leadership, and team health;

• Foster a transparent, supportive engineering culture;

• Balance business priorities and technical direction;

• Align team goals with business priorities and define simple, meaningful performance expectations;

• Support Team Leads in addressing performance challenges and making difficult people decisions when needed;

• Own hiring for engineers and TLs, identify skill gaps early, and continuously raise the talent bar;

• Improve onboarding and help shape team structure as the company grows;

• Strengthen communication and alignment across teams and remove organizational blockers;

• Drive career growth, progression clarity, and knowledge-sharing across engineering;

• Partner closely with the CTO, QA Lead, Architecture and Security Lead, and Product leadership.

• Proven experience leading engineering teams;

• Strong people leadership skills: coaching, feedback, and performance management;

• Experience growing and supporting Team Leads or managers;

• Good understanding of what makes teams effective and productive;

• Solid hiring judgment and hands-on involvement in building teams;

• Ability to bring structure and clarity without creating bureaucracy;

• Strong communication, conflict-resolution, and ownership mindset;

• Experience handling performance issues and difficult conversations.

7000 - 11000 EUR gross per month, depending on your experience.
